Displaying shapefiles in a GIS data viewer
such as
ArcExplorer
9.3.1 by
ESRI. You
will need to download ArcExplorer and add each shapefile as a layer.
This is for more advanced users. Click on below links to take a look
at what can be done with such a mapping tool.

Ideally, you will have a
geo-referenced map of the Cederberg which can be added as a layer to
your GIS/Data Viewer (ArcExplorer recommended). Such
electronic maps are
available from the Chief
Directorate: Surveys and Mapping. These maps are
unfortunately too large to be made available on the web or to be
emailed to you.
Itineraries for the
three generic routes
are also available and give a detailed description of each route.
