Scout mailing lists

We run a number of mailing lists for news and announcements about Scouting in South Africa. Lists are open to any interested person - Scouts, Scout leaders, parents and others. Before you join a mailing list, make sure you have read the list rules.

How to join a mailing list

To join the national newsletter mailing list, send an email to with a blank subject and the message
   subscribe newsletter

To join a provincial mailing list (apart from Gauteng), follow the same instructions except use one of the following list names:
   subscribe cwscouters (for Western Cape)
   subscribe ecscouters (for Eastern Cape, Northern Cape and Free State)
   subscribe ntscouters (for Mpumalanga)
   subscribe kznscouters (for KwaZulu-Natal)

How to leave a mailing list

To leave a mailing list, use one of the following messages, depending on the list:
   unsubscribe newsletter
   unsubscribe cwscouters
   unsubscribe ecscouters
   unsubscribe ntscouters
   unsubscribe kznscouters

Gauteng mailing list

To join or leave the Gauteng mailing list, visit the Gauteng Scouting website.
