Scouting & The Presidents Award
Known internationally as The International Award for Young People
The International Award has appealed to Scouts throughout the world
since the Award first began in 1956. The concept of individual challenge
is designed to encourage young people to develop into responsible,
active citizens who will positively contribute towards society.
Scout leaders have found that the Award Programme complements and
enhances their own Scout programmes, providing additional elements
that motivate and challenge their members. In most Scout Associations
parts of the awards for the older sections relate directly to parts
of the International Award.
