Video Contest - Why join Scouts?
New Competition: Here’s a challenge for all Groups – Make a short max 2 minute video showing why youth should join Scouts SA and be part of the Adventure and fun of scouting. Be creative and who knows where your footage will be shown! All submissions should be sent via link (preferably youtube) to Revit@scouting.org.za and will become property of SA Scout Association for possible publicity usage. It is suggested that you upload the videos to youtube so members can cast their vote on the video. The winning video will however be chosen by a panel of judges. Their decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The criteria for judging the videos will be the following:
- Originality
- Creativity
- Message Content , capturing the essence of scouting for the future
- Adherence to the time limit

Bear Grylls multi–tool winner In our first edition we offered a Bear Grylls multi-tool to a random name on our Adult members email lists as at end July. Shane Meder was the random winner and will shortly be receiving his prize.
