Campsites
There are two main camping areas on Haweuqas: The Pine Forest and
The Terraces. Both have plenty of shade and taps with drinking water.
The communal ablutions have hot showers. Ablutions facilities at the Terrace
campsite are due to be built, but the main ablution facilites are a two
minute walk away.
Recommended usage: Cub, Patrol, Troop and District camps.
Main House
There are three bedrooms fitted with 17 beds in all, two bathrooms,
and a large louge / dining / activity area with five large tables and
forty chairs. More tables and chairs are available. The large undercover
veranda can also be used as a dining area. The kitchen has a fridge, freezer,
six gas rings, electric stove, urn, kettle and a few large pots. There
is no crockery or cutlery.
Recommended usage: Adult accommodation for course leaders and
staff at Scouter and Scout training courses, badge courses and Cub camps.
Barn
Located behind the main house is a large and well illuminated hall
with a large covered veranda area.
Recommended usage: Suitable for lectures, handcrafts and emergency
dry shelter.
Bunk House
Very spartan; has 11 bunk beds.
Recommended usage: Accommodation for wark parties, certain time-
constrained courses, bad weather shelter.
Robert Hall Campsite
An exclusive site booked as an entity on its own, with all the necessities
available and on site, having a small Bunk Room to accommodate 4 adults
/ persons, Kitchen fully equipped and stocked to cater for 40 (just bring
your food), Stoep and Braai, Raised Platform shelter for dining / lectures
/ activities / handcrafts and level campsites on site for tents. There
is an ablution block nearby, but does not form part of exclusive usage
of this site. At a later stage tents and camp equipment will also be available
to users on site.
Recommended usage: Suitable for Packs, Troops, Rovers, Groups,
Districts, Youth Organizations or Groups who want to experience camping
and survival under controlled conditions.
 
Rondawel
Renovated for basic water and electricity.
Recommended usage: Utility / storage / instruction area
Holiday Cabins
Situated up on the hill above the Cottage, reachable by car via the
Wardens House. Each Cabin can sleep 8, has a shower, toilet, kitchen,
dining area and later will have a stoep as well - from which one could
sit and watch the sunset. You need only supply your own bedding, food
and toiletries - just like camping, but under roof with 'extras'.
Recommended usage: These are aimed at families wanting to 'break away'
for a weekend, two families spending time together, or parents of Cubs
/ Scouts wanting to stay over to save travelling while their kids camp
or others... looking for a stay over.
Cottage
Situated independently away from the main building, it is fully furnished
and equipped to accommodate four people. There are two bedrooms with two
single beds in one and a double bed in another (no bedding), with an open
plan lounge kitchen.
Recommended usage: Families (including people outside the Movement),
parents or Scouter's spouse during a camp.

Hiking trails: 10 km of mountain trails with views. Also shady river
routes. (Map available)
