30,000 Scouts will attend the 22nd World Scout Jamboree to be held in 2011 on the fields of Rinkaby, outside the town of Kristianstad, in the province of Skåne, southern Sweden from 27th July – 7th August 2011.
Simply Scouting
The 22nd World Scout Jamboree Sweden 2011 is Simply Scouting. Scouting in all its variety, from all across the world.
Nothing more, nothing less!
The World Scout Jamboree mirrors the Scout world. All the diversity and knowledge from different Scout cultures around the world gathered in one place. The event is inspiring and contributes to the development of the Scout Movement.
Scouting delivers the answers to the needs of young people and this Jamboree is simply Scouting. The 22nd World Scout Jamboree offers a modern programme that lives up to the challenges young people meet in today’s society. Scouts will leave with new tools to take action in their local and wider communities.

Circular to SA Scouts |

To All Scouts and Scouters,
You have ±40 days to apply for, a once in a life time opportunity.
To attend the 22nd World Scout Jamboree, and the first World Scout Jamboree of the new centenary of Scouting, in Rinkaby Sweden from 27 July – 7 August 2011.
Participants are Scouts aged between 14 and 17 years old, born between 25 July 1993 and 27 July 1997. Adult Leaders may apply to join the South African Contingent as a Scouter in one of the Jamboree Troops or as a member of the Contingent Management Team (CMT), the team of adult leaders who support and coordinate the Contingent, or as a member of the International Service Team (IST).
